If you do not go with an internet security suit then you need to at least ensure you get a client that has both a good anti-virus scanner and an anti-spyware scanner. Far too many people just get an anti-virus scanner just to find it does not solve their issue because they had spyware as well. Another good point to make is to run your security product in safe mode after you have updated it. Running security clients in safe mode ensures you remove all the virus and spyware traces on your computer.
