Sometimes when I feel lonely at night and I get introspective, I like to go on a web search for interesting gals. Sure there is Stumbleupon and facebook for a web collage of materials about girls who may or may not exist in real life, but I’m searching for something more of a community. Let’s face it: online dating is an awkward experience to say the least. I don’t like to have my picture browsed as that’s the thing which is most important about me.

I recently came across this great site, which gives me the solution I have been searching for. GirlsTeachGuys.com is this online community where you can find real people sharing their real experiances on dating, relationships, sex, and love. While some of the subjects obviously overlap, and the site is quite new (and some of the functionality is a bit hard to reach) there are real girls and guys talking about these subjects. It’s like nothing is taboo on this site… I can ask questions ranging from “what is the best present for a three year anniversary” to “how to get my wife to begin using sex toys” the site also features some pretty neat videos by the community as well as hundreds (if not thousands) of questions and answers, and articles.

The main thing I love about this site is that it offers users who have received points on the system (you get points by answering questions, or posting videos etc. –they have a nice FAQ) the ability to initiate and receive video chats from other users. This is a great new way to meet intresting people online, in a way which is not too overt like most dating sites. I use it as my internet support group.
